Bear Paw

Jeff Wieber
Bear Paw Camp “Camp ministry is completely and totally about relationships. We believe it is the ultimate discipleship setting. In some sense, Jesus himself was involved in a camp ministry with His disciples, camping out around Israel and teaching them to obey his teaching and how to do ministry. When Jesus said, "Come and follow me," He meant it literally. He invited his disciples to walk with Him, eat with Him, sleep with Him 24/7, building intense and impacting relationships.” Dear Friend, My earliest memories include camp ministry… first as a camper then on kitchen duty, and later on as a counselor, which turned into weekends and summers. Recently an invitation was extended to help at Bear Paw Camp full-time, assisting with programs that are in process. Part of my role will be boats/waterfront, facility maintenance, and initiating a wilderness program including hunting, horseback-packing and outdoor endurance activities. A School of Ministry is a priority, and is in the organizational stage. It is great to participate in an outreach that shares my heart for youth, where my life and God given skills may be used for His glory. This is a non-profit outreach, so income is 100% support through monthly/annual/one time donations. I invite you to invest in my time and in what I consider to be God’s direction for me. Camping ministry made an impact in my life, and I want to reach out to youth through the Bear Paw camp ministry. • Children ages 8-18 spend an average of 7.5 hours a day on electronics media And only four minutes a day playing outside • Only 33% of teens get enough exercise • 5.4 million youth (4-17) are diagnosed with ADHD • 33 to 40 percent of campers make a first-time decision to follow Jesus Christ at camp. • Six-in-10 campers indicate a decision to follow Jesus. “Where else in Christendom is this level of evangelistic effectiveness reached? If the Church is going to continue to grow in America and the rest of the world, I believe Christian camping is going to play a major role.” http://sabeacon.com/articles/looking-summer-christian-camps-provide-testimonies-youth I welcome your questions and would be glad to get together or talk on the phone. Thank you for your prayer support and consideration.
